Our route takes us through a picturesque canal, under the large Kyrönsalmi bridge, and past the northernmost medieval castle, the magnificent Olavinlinna. We will pass the museum steamships at Riihisaari as well as the famous Savonlinna market square. During the tour, we will paddle under four, or perhaps even five bridges, the last of which serves as a footbridge from the city center island to Vääräsaari.
The tour is also highly suitable for beginners. Along the way, we will also pass the cruise ships that start and end their journeys at the market square. On this tour, we loop around both the city center islands and the nearby "Onnellisten saaret" (Islands of the Happy). You will also hear a bit about the history of the islands during the trip.
Children (aged 6–13) must always be accompanied by a guardian/adult (in a tandem kayak); those over 14 can paddle in a single kayak and participate with a guardian's permission.
The tour includes a kayak, paddling equipment, and a guide.
