Using professional grade safety suits, we jump in frozen water upstream and float downstream like a cork. Like jumping on parachute lakeland style. Ages and restrictions Minimum age 12 years. Participants need to be min 140cm tall to fit in the suit. Zero tolerance with alcohol.

When is the best time to try ice floating? It is available from October till April. Best period is December-March in mid-winter. The colder the winter, the better the experience..

Where do we meet the guide? Guide awaits you at Riihisaari museum parking area in Savonlinna center Address: Riihisaari, Savonlinna, Finland.

Can I book only one person? Yes you can, but the minimum fee is for four persons.

How do you put on the suit? You get dressed outside in the car of guide. You put on the flotation suit over your own clothes. Outdoor shoes and winter coats do not fit under the suit and must be removed. Normal indoor clothing is fine. The best clothing is warm fleece/wool clothing and wool socks, which are soft and provide good warmth under the rescue suit. Warm gloves can also be worn under the suit, but mittens cannot. A close-fitting hat can be worn as long as it does not have a pompom. It is best to leave your glasses off, but if you cannot see without them, you can wear them at your own risk (glasses will fog up in the water). The organizer has wool socks and gloves available for loan.

What if it snows or is very cold? Do not worry. Safety suits keep you dry and warm, and in harsh winter conditions you will get a bigger experience

Can children participate? Only if they are minimum 140 cm tall. All safety suits are adult size suits, and they are not made for small children. For every minor participant you need to have one adult participant for safety reasons.

When is my booking confirmed? Immediately after payment you will receive confirmation email with instructions about the tour. If you think you have made the booking but have not received the confirmation email, then please contact us by email to sales@lakelandgte.fi and we will figure that out together

How do I pay for the activity? You can book in our online-store and pay by Credit cards, via European SEPA bank payment or Alipay. We require payment at time of the booking

Do I have to book in advance? Yes. You need to book in advance

I try to book but it does not work, what should I do? First make sure that you have checked the “accept conditions” box. If it still does not work, please contact us by email to sales@lakelandgte.fi and we will figure that out together
