We embark on a journey that leads us to the secret realms of the Ringed Seal; we move quietly and respectfully near the Saimaa Ringed Seal’s nesting areas, keeping a careful eye on the water's surface, hoping to encounter that charming and lovable Saimaa resident as it flashes through the waves.
Upon arrival, we step onto the island's sandy beach, where an open campfire site and beautiful nature trails await. By the fire, we will savour an authentic archipelago lunch – fresh, locally caught fish with sides, gaining its flavour from the open flames and the finest ingredients Saimaa has to offer. After lunch, the island calls you to adventure or relaxation: the scents and trails of the forest and the clear lake water invite you to enjoy the Finnish wilderness. Roam, sit, breathe, and simply enjoy.
On this excursion, you can forget everything else and just be present. Depending on the timing of the trip, the return journey offers a chance to admire the water's surface gilded by the sunset and the horizon stained with purple hues. (Please note: A tidy outdoor toilet/outhouse is available on the island.)
