Elina's Soma Yoga class combines relaxing movement and gentle yoga poses. We calm down and experience a connection with our breath and body sensations.
Elina is a music pedagogue (university of applied sciences) and a Master of Education. I started my yoga path at the age of 24 with Ashtanga yoga in 2007, and I completely fell into yoga practice. After visiting India, Mysore, for the first time in 2010, I started teaching yoga and body care classes at community colleges and fitness centers, and I am still on that path.
After studying somatic methods in the year-long training at the Eastern Finland Sports Institute in 2018-2019, my own relationship with yoga practice and physicality developed into a much more open and down-to-earth one.
I am currently studying to become a sports counselor and personal trainer at the Tanhuvaara Sports Institute in addition to my work.
In my work, I want to encourage clients to practice from their own starting points, honestly and compassionately listening to their bodies.
